Saia “Driving Business” Campaign

Saia LTL Freight, one of the nation’s top carriers with over 95 years of experience and an expanding nationwide network, first kicked off a major brand evolution in 2018. By the time I joined the team in mid-2021, the foundation had been laid—but the challenge had evolved. Saia needed to build on its momentum, continue connecting with an increasingly national audience, and strengthen engagement across internal teams.

Challenge / Goal

My goal was to help extend the brand campaign in a way that reflected Saia’s growing coast-to-coast presence, while also creating internal campaigns that reinforced pride and connection among employees. Saia didn’t just want to deliver freight—they wanted to deliver on the feeling of being part of something bigger: the “Saia Family.”

Solution

Working as part of the DEFINITION 6 team, I stepped into a dual role: helping evolve the external brand campaign to align with Saia’s national footprint, while also leading internal communications efforts that brought consistency, pride, and purpose to their thousands of employees across terminals and the corporate office.

National Campaign Extension

We expanded Saia’s original brand work into a bold, coast-to-coast campaign that showcased their now fully national service coverage. Visually, this was brought to life by showing Saia trucks driving past recognizable American landmarks—from the Statue of Liberty to the Golden Gate Bridge—symbolizing both reach and reliability. The creative platform honored the brand’s legacy while pointing to the future, reminding customers and prospects that Saia was ready to go the extra mile, no matter the zip code.

The Impact

By extending the brand both externally and internally, we helped position Saia not just as a trusted logistics partner, but as a brand with heart—one that drives across the country and straight into the lives of the people who power it. The national campaign elevated visibility and trust across new markets, while Amplify gave employees a deeper connection to the company mission—turning internal storytelling into a key driver of culture and pride.
